Neighbors --

The Council will meet this Monday evening, March 15, beginning at 7:30 p.m.  The Council meeting will be conducted entirely remotely with no in-person meeting attendance. To attend the virtual meeting, please see the Zoom and other connection information to the left and below.

The Agenda for the meeting, including many supporting details, is posted via the Agenda Center on the Town's website (http://www.upmd.org/agendacenter).  I urge you to review the full Agenda of the meeting for items of interest to you.

Presentation:  Transit Task Force to present their draft report providing an overview of the transit options for the future of the Town’s bus services. The draft report is available in the Council packet via the Agenda Center on the Town website.

The Task Force is charged with considering the bus services and their future, analyzing costs and benefits, the carbon footprint benefit of transit, related environmental issues, and program changes necessary when the Purple Line is in service. The Task Force reviewed bus options on February 9 at a well-attended virtual public forum and heard Town residents’ perspectives. The public forum (and others) can be viewed through the Town website at www.upmd.org/publicforums.
