With the support of the Town Clerk, the Town Attorney, and the other Election Supervisor, ensures elections are run ethically, timely, securely, and smoothly, including validating election-related postings, mailings, lists, ballots, absentee voting forms, and other materials. Note: The County Board of Elections maintains the voter list.
Usually works several hours during the week prior to Election Day in addition to opening and closing the polls on Election Day and tallying the ballots. Election Day is usually the first Tuesday in May and is often a late night.
Recruits, trains and schedules Election Judges to assist on Election Day.
Verifies candidate petitions have the required number of registered voter names.

Residents who are qualified voters may submit a letter of interest to townhall@upmd.org. The Mayor and Council will then appoint a new Election Supervisor at an upcoming Council meeting.
