There have been some recent changes within the University Park police department. We welcomed a new officer to the department, D. Johnson, in April of 2017. He comes to us from the Loudon County Sheriff's Office in Virginia. He has passed his training to be a Maryland certified police officer and was promoted from Private to Private First Class (PFC). We also welcomed a new Administrative Assistant to the department at the end of August 2017, Elizabeth Gilead. We are happy to have them join our team.
D. Enig was promoted from Sargent to Lieutenant. Enig has been an officer for a total of 41 years, 27 of those years has been in University Park. S. Stennett and C. Sunday were both promoted to Sargent. Stennett retired from the Prince George's County police department and has worked for the Town for 7 years. Sunday has worked for the Town as an officer for 7 years.
