The County Department of the Environment and the Chesapeake Bay Trust invite you to join them for a webinar to learn about the County’s Rain Check Rebate Program and the Stormwater Stewardship Grant Program on July 15th at 7:30 p.m.
Brief Summary of the Programs:
- Prince George’s County Rain Check Rebate Program (Program Coordinator: Nguyen Le, 410-974-2941 x110 or nle@cbtrust.org)
- Offers rebate incentives to: homeowners, businesses, and others to install practices that will improve stormwater runoff quality, reduce pollution, and improve local stream and river health.
- Eligible project types: rain barrels, cisterns, tree plantings, rain gardens, pavement removal, permeable pavement, and green roofs.
- Eligible applicants: property owners of individual residences, multi-family dwellings, homeowner associations, businesses, and nonprofit organizations.
- Prince George’s County Stormwater Stewardship Grant Program (Program Manager: Sadie Drescher, 410-974-2941 x105 or sdrescher@cbtrust.org)
- Funds on-the-ground restoration activities that improve neighborhoods, improve water quality, and engage Prince George’s County residents in the restoration and protection of the local rivers and streams of Prince George’s County.
- Eligible project types: water quality projects, tree planting projects, and citizen awareness and engagement projects.
- Eligible applicants: nonprofit organizations, municipalities, watershed organizations, education institutions, community associations, faith-based organizations, civic groups, and more.
