Pursuant to the 2021 Police Sergeant Promotional Exam, University Park Police Chief Harvey Baker is pleased to announce John Morris will be promoted to Sergeant, effective January 21, 2021. Sergeant John Morris has served with the University Park Police department since April 2019 and is a former chief of police and brings a wealth of municipal policing experience to our team. He is our reigning “Top Gun” marksman for the department and serves as our Taser Coordinator. Chief Baker is confident he will do well as a new sergeant for the department.
