On Monday, June 15 at 4 p.m., the Clerk of the Circuit Court Mahasin El Amin came to University Park to swear-in all elected officials beginning a new term. The swearing-in took place in the parking lot outside of Town Hall. All present were asked to wear gloves and masks and maintain safe social distancing.
Mayor Len Carey was sworn-in first. He begins his final term as Mayor - Mayors can only serve four 2-year terms per Town Charter.
Newly elected ward 1 Councilmember Joel Biermann was sworn-in next. He replaces Mr. David Brosch who served two terms on the Council from 2012-2104 and again from 2018-2020.

Re-elected Councilmembers Laurie Morrissey of ward 3 and Roland Stephen of ward 7 were sworn-in for their second 2-year term.
A big thank you to Ms. El Amin for traveling to University Park to swear-in our elected officials during these odd and new times. Congratulations and thank you to our elected officials for serving our community.
