Redistricting Letter to County Council

At the Town Council meeting on November 1, Mayor and Council approved a letter be sent to the Prince George's County Council expressing its opposition to the revised Restricting Map and Plan that was introduced at the October 19 County Council meeting and proposed for final adoption on November 16.

Town Council's position is as follows,
"The University Park Town Council is unanimously opposed to the adoption of either the October 14 “Davis” Plan, or the October 19 “amended Davis” Plan presented to the Council, and respectfully requests that the County Council take no action to approve them at its November 16 meeting, thereby allowing the Map and Plan as proposed by the Redistricting Commission to take effect."
