Chief standing with others who completed implicit bias training

Lab for Applied Social Science Research (LASSR) has developed a “Bias Free” training course to educate law enforcement personnel on how to identify and control for implicit biases in the full range of services officers provide. This course is approved and certified by the Maryland State Police Training Commission. LASSR has provided this training to over 2000 police officers in the Mid-Atlantic region of the United States. This program has also been showcased on the federal and state levels to policy makers. LASSR has consulted with police departments and government agencies at the federal and state levels including cities such as Little Rock, Indianapolis, St. Louis, and Baltimore. The course has also been delivered to military personnel, teachers, and government workers.

We are proud that Chief Baker has successfully completed the course and is continuing to obtain skills that will benefit our community. Congratulations Chief!
