On Saturday, May 19, we invited the community and those who were instrumental in helping us with the playground to join us for the ribbon cutting and the official opening of the new playground. We were fortunate to have
State Senator (and Town resident) Paul Pinksy, District 22 Delegate Tawanna Gaines - who helped us obtain a grant which paid for most of the playground - and District 22 Delegate Anne Healey. Also present were Councilmembers Linda Verrill of ward 4, David Caskey of ward 5, Martha Wells of ward 6, and Roy Alvarez of ward 7. We are thankful that we had such a nice turnout on such a rainy morning. We all noted that the kids didn't mind the weather and had great fun.
If you haven't visited the new playground we hope you will. The playground is officially open to all!
