Town Playgrounds Reopening

Finished Wells Parkway playground

Town playgrounds will reopen Friday afternoon, September 4, at 2 p.m. subject to rules regarding physical distancing, required facial coverings/masks, and limiting capacity. The Town is providing sanitation stations at both playgrounds, and we encourage everyone, adults included, to use them. Use is at your own risk. There will be signage summarizing these rules. The Playground Executive Order opening the playgrounds and stating the rules is in the link below.

The Town recognizes that playgrounds involve inherent risk for our children. However, COVID-19 is a different breed of risk which can extend to friends and family given that it is highly contagious. The rules provide necessary precautions, some of them already mandated by the State, which enables you to manage the health risks. We urge you to provide strong parental and community support to reinforce these measures and help keep our community safe.
